The Trentonian, Joyce Marie Krainaker BERLIN, MD. - Joyce Marie Krainaker, age 74, died on Monday November 25, 2013 at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin. Born in Trenton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson Sutton and Mary Ellen Hawthorn Sutton. She is survived by her husband Frank Krainaker, two sons; Frank Krainaker, Jr.,and his wife Maureen McFarland Krainaker of Adamstown, MD, Kenneth Krainaker and his wife Catherine of Hamilton, N.J., a daughter; Deborah Bonacorda and her husband Fred of East Windsor, N.J. , Lorraine; five grand-children; Laura Bonacorda, Alexander Bonacorda, Lyndsay Krainaker, Kelsey Krainaker and Matthew Krainaker.. Also surviving is a sister, Lorraine Cimerola and her husband Patrick of West Ocean City and a sister-in-law Myrtle Sutton of Hamilton,N.J. There are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother Thomas Sutton. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at 11:00 at Our Lady of Sorrows in Hamilton Township, N.J. Rev. Gervasio will officiate. Interment will be private for the family. Memorial donations may be made in Joyce's memory to the charity of your choice. Born in Cleveland, NC, Helen at the age of 21 left home and moved to Hightstown, NJ where her aunt, the late Alice Brown, resided. She began working at The Peddie School as a laundress. Helen went to work with the East Windsor Regional School District. Helen was asked to oversee the kitchen of The Ethel McKnight Elementary School. She was a dedicated member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church of Hightstown, NJ. Predeceased by her husband, Samuel B. Turner; parents, Eugene and Ella (Chambers) Houston; two sons, Austin Eugene Turner and William Houston Turner; two foster daughters, Betty Timms and Rose Owens; a daughter-in-law, Deena Turner; four brothers, Richard Alexander, Harold, Joseph and Theodore Houston and three sisters, Lethia Gross, Faye Hunt and Alice Banks. She is survived by four sons, Donald R. Turner (Shirley)of Lawrenceville, NJ; Samuel L. Turner, Sr. (Carilyn) of East Windsor; Richard B. Turner (Darlene) of Willingboro, NJ; Larry A. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Belleview, FL. He was a dedicated husband and father to his late beloved wife, Carmell and children. He is survived by his sons, Charles (Susan) Johnson, Palm Coast FL, and Robert (Evie) Johnson, Leesburg, FL; nine grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren; many nieces and newphews; sister, Thalia Rinkus, FL. Braun, 64 of Ewing has been accepted into God's loving embrace on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Royal Health Gate of Lawrenceville with his loving wife by his side. "Dickaloo" as he was affectionately referred to by his family and friends was born in Trenton NJ on February 9, 1949 and was a life long area resident. Dickaloo was a self taught artist who enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and playing softball with his brothers. He was an avid Yankee's fan and sports enthusiast who cheered on Notre Dame football and Duke basketball. Dickaloo loved the beauty of life which inspired him to create art. Predeceased by his parents; Steven Mark Braun and Marion Elizabeth Davison. Left to cherish his wonderful memory is his loving wife of over 20 years; Sandy Braun and his two beautiful daughters Elizabeth Marion and Alexandra Elizabeth, caring brothers and sisters; Steven Braun, his twin Robert Braun, Carl Braun, Barbara Mudge, Kathy Reading, Margaret Braun - Williams, Maryann Wargo, and Carrie Nasile. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives will miss him deeply. The Trentonian, Mary "May" H. Heupel HAMILTON - Mary "May" H. Heupel, 84 passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 26th at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospital located in Hamilton. Mary spent her younger years in Lawrence Township before moving to Hamilton in 1950. She was employed as a secretary for Mercer County; retiring in 1985 after over 17 years of dedicated service. Mary was a dedicated member of The Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 26, Bordentown, NJ. But her greatest joy in life was being with her family. She was a devoted wife; loving mother-grandmother, caring friend and she will be greatly missed. The daughter of the late Charles and Agnes Gall, she is predeceased by her beloved husband, George A. Heupel, her brothers, Charles and James Hunter Gall, she is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, George C. and Jerrie Heupel, David B. Born in Dunmore, PA, Mr. Myernick was a Hamilton area resident for over 75 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He retired after 44 years as General Foreman with C.V. Hill Co., Trenton. Frank was a "Jack of all trades" and was involved for many years with the construction of the stage sets for the many Broadway plays in New York City. He was an avid golfer and loved to play tennis and walk. Son of the late Joseph and Anne Skibber Myernick, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Ann E. Wood Myernick, his daughters and sons-in-law JoAnn and Craig Marinkos of Roebling, Cathleen Myernick and Harry Milonas of Hamilton and Patricia and David Cruser of Hightstown, his son Francis, Jr. and Barbara Glackin of Burlington Twp., his sister Barbara Benson of Hamilton, 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Most of her life she lived in Hamilton except 14 years of which she lived in Clearwater, FL with her son, Robert. She loved Florida. She was one of the first woman managers of a radio station (WAAT) and was in an article in the Trentonian about Who's Who in Business. She will be sadly missed by all. Predeceased by her parents, William and Susan Gladney; the love of her life, Bill Gething; her daughter, Kathryn Poli; her son-in-law, Dennis Marczak; and her brothers and sisters, William and Bob Gladney, Pat Reavis and Barbara Hauser; she is survived by her daughter, Cindy Marczak; her sons and daughters-in-laws, Wayne and Rhonda Gething, Michael and Barbara Harle, and Robert Harle and Tom Borris; her grandchildren, Lisa Butler, Tammy and Curtis Gething and Heather Harle; her great-grandchildren; her brothers, Paul and Harry Gladney; her sister, Diana Reynolds; and many nieces and nephews. She was employed by Mercer County Board of Social Services for more than 20 years, after her retirement she worked at Macys. She was a lifetime member of Cadwalader Asbury United Methodist Church where she served on The Administrative Board, the Nominating Committee, and the Daughters of Martha. Predeceased by her parents Clarnton and Spina McRae, a son, John J. McRae and brothers Lemuel and Jerry McRae, and two sisters Emma Addison and Edyth Young. The Trentonian, Sandra Eileen Bishop TRENTON - Sandra Eileen Bishop, 59, of Trenton, was called to eternal rest on Friday, November 22, 2013 at Capital Health, Hopewell Campus. Born in Trenton, Sandra was educated in the Ewing Township School System and graduated from Ewing High School in 1971. Sandra received her BA degree from the Trenton State College (now the College of New Jersey). She was certified as a Parent Educator Consultant from Rutgers University, the School of Social Work and Early Education Certification. Sandra was employed by NJ Department of Treasury for 22 years. She also worked with Department of Children and Families as an advocate. In 2010, she retired from the State of NJ Division of Revenue as a Supervisor. Sandra was an active member of the Trenton Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. was currently the Commissioner. She was a board member of the Circle of Friends. Sandra was the first black female umpire for the Mercer County Baseball Little League and the Mercer County Soccer Little League. She was a member of the O.E.S, Lady Scott #202 and served as the Financial Secretary. She was the North Ward District #21, Committeewoman for the City of Trenton. Sandra was an active member St. Paul A. M. E. Zion Church for over 30 years. Surviving are her father, Robert G. Bishop, Sr. of Los Angeles, CA; her mother, Florence H. Bishop of Ewing; four brothers, Brent L. Bishop of Ewing, Robert G. Bishop, Jr. of Santa Cruz, CA, Steven O. Born and raised in Nashua, NH, she resided in Peekskill, NY for 10 years and West Windsor, NJ for 20 years prior to moving to Robbinsville in 1985. Jean studied to be a dental hygienist in Rochester, NY and was a homemaker to her husband and eight children. A member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Allentown, she was a former member of the 50+ Club and a volunteer for Social Concerns. Wife of the late Bernard J. Mockler, Jean was predeceased by her son, John Mockler; her son-in-law, Don Shinn; brothers, Walter and Richard McLaughlin; sisters, Edna Sadler and Nancy Hession. She is survived by seven children, Bernard A. The Trentonian, Monika Czenis Semeta NORTH TRENTON - Monika Czenis Semeta, 88, of North Trenton died Saturday, Nov. 30th at the Capital Health Regional Medical Center. Born in Vilrius, Lithuania; Mrs. Semeta came to the U.S. in 1949 and was a Trenton resident since 1951. she retired in 1990 from Carter Wallace Pharmaceuticals and previously from Young's Rubber company, where she was the 1984 employee of the Year, after a total of 36 years of service. She was a member of the st. Hedwig's Rosarians, group 12 since 1982. also, she was active in the st. Hedwig's School Mother's Club. AT HOME, Monika enjoyed tending her garden and especially growing her vegetables. At age 16, Monika was captured by Nazi forces in Lithuania and was interned in the Detention Center in Blumberg, Germany. After wars end with the liberation of the center, she met her husband, Vaclovas, in the refugee camp and they got married. Daughter of the late Stanislovas & Vincentina Joniciute Czenis. Wife of the late Vaclovas Semeta, after 64 years married. niece of the late William Czenis. She is survived by her two sons & 1 daughter-in-law: Edward M. & Victoria Semeta of Myrtle Beach, S. The Trentonian, William J. Seplavich, Sr. BORDENTOWN - William J. Seplavich Sr., 98, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 30th at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital Hamilton. Born in Scranton Pa. he was a long time resident of the Bordentown community. A graduate of Troop High Pa., William enlisted in The United States Air Force in 1939; serving during WWII and the Korean War. He retired in 1964 after over 24 years of honorable service with the highest enlisted Rank of Msgt. After his retirement he worked at the Falcon Creek Golf Course located on McGuire Air force Base and retired in 1979 at the age of 64 after 15 years. He was an avid golfer who played with the same foursome 3 times a week for the past 40 years and was Crowned the National Marble Champ in Ocean City in 1928 ~ 29. Son of the late of the John and Mary Seplavich, he was predeceased by his wives Cecilia and Grace Seplavich he is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Rita Gravatt and Jay Keating, his sons, Bill Seplavich Jr. and David Seplavich, his grand children, Melissa Gravatt and her husband Anthony Solario, Melaney and her husband Kurt Loose his great grandchildren, Madison, Benjamin, Joseph, his sisters, Ruth Mikles and Toni Worrell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday December 6th 2013 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church 45 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. The Trentonian, Marian Harvey LAWRENCEVILLE - Marian Harvey, 85, of Lawrenceville, NJ, passed away on Tuesday at St. Joseph's Skilled Nursing at Morris Hall in Lawrenceville. Born in Elizabeth City, NC she lived most of her life in Newport News, VA before moving to Lawrenceville in 2008. Marian was a member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church in Elizabeth City, NC. Mrs. Harvey graduated from Elizabeth City State University. She was an elementary school teacher for over 30 years. Her career began at John Marshall Elementary School and she retired from B.C. Charles Elementary School in 1991. Daughter of the late William and Emma Spellman Murden, and mother of the late James C. Harvey Jr., sister of the late William Murden; she is survived by her husband of 60 years, James C. Harvey Sr., her daughter and son-in-law: Joye C. and Thomas B. Nagle, her grandchildren; James C. Harvey III, Damien, Veronica Nagle Andrew Nagle, and Omari Harvey; her daughter-in-law, Felicia Harvey, her step-son and his wife Sylvester and Jean Harvey; her brother; Charles Murden. Also surviving is her brother-in-law, William Harvey, her sisters-in-law; Emily Johnson and Miriam Hoggard and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Born in Elberton, Georgia, she moved to Trenton, NJ in 1943. She was employed at Blakely Laundry for many years. After 20 years of dedicated service, she retired from Trenton Psychiatric Hospital. Mother Towns was a member of Beauty Grove Primitive Baptist Church for 58 years. She served on the Mother Board, Senior Choir, Floral Club and Trustee Aid Ministry. She was intstrumental in initiating collaboration with Interfaith Caregivers of Mercer County. She is predeacesed by her parents, Lonnie and Georgia Bowman-Long, her husband, Johnnie Towns, 3 brothers, L.G.Bowman, Leroy Bowman and James Bowman, 3 sisters, Gennell Fortson, Mamie Burch, Tommie Lee Hardy, 2 grandchildren, Kelli and Marlon Dean. Surviving one son Deacon Henry Towns(Joyce), One daughter Rosemary Clark, 4 grandchildren, Anthony Towns(Nicole), Stephen Towns(Kimberly), Mark Campbell(Lolita), Aaron Clark(Keisha). 11 great-grandchildren and 1 special great grand daughter Nefertitti Towns-Scott(Michael). 4 great-great grand children, a host of nieces, nephews and special freinds. The Trentonian, Constance S. Picco LAFAYETTE, LA. - Constance S. Picco, 89, formerly of Trenton, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at her daughter's residence in Lafayette, Louisiana. Born in Montclair, NJ, she was a lifelong area resident before moving to Lafayette in 2005 to live with her daughter. A graduate of St. Luke's School of Nursing in New York, NY, she was a Registered Nurse at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton from 1960 to approximately 1978. She was later employed with Greenwood House in Trenton from 1979 to around 1990. Mrs. Picco was a longtime member of Our Lady of Good Council and then Incarnation RC Church, before moving to Louisiana. Wife of the late Carl Picco; she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Helen and James Granger, of Lafayette, LA; her son and daughter-in-law, Steven J. and Ada Ryan Picco, of Philadelphia, PA; her son and daughter-in-law Mike and Debra Reif Picco, of Tulsa, OK; her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Robert Silvestro, of Hamilton, NJ; her son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Liz Raptis Picco, of Santa Cruz, CA; her 13 grandchildren, Doug Granger, Greg Granger, Chris Picco, Kaitlin Picco, Tim Picco, Shawn Picco, Tara Picco Rodgers, Julia Picco, Ian Picco, Steven Silvestro, Douglas Silvestro.
