Predeceased by his paternal grandparents who raised him, Elsie and Elliott Simon, Sr.; maternal great grandfather, Archie Vereen; and a brother, John Marshall, Jr. S urviving are his fiance, Twanna Robinson; stepchildren, Quayshawn, Quameer, Quadir and T'yanna whom he loved dearly; his parents, Jacqueline and John Marshall; two sisters, Kaheerah and Barbara Marshall; one brother, Rayshawn Marshall; maternal grandmother, Marian Lewis all of Trenton; maternal grandfather, James Lewis of Philadelphia, PA; maternal great grandmother, Aggielene Vereen of Trenton; five aunts, Barbara McRae of Morrisville, PA, Candace (Chris) Howell, Diane Marshall all of Jacksonville, NC; Daphne (Alex) Bonner and Deborah Lewis all of Trenton; four uncles, Elliott (Tia) Simon, Jr., Mark (Dondria) Lewis, Timothy (Celissa) Lewis and Amir (Marie) Shabazz; a special nephew, Rayshawn Marshall, Jr.; two special nieces, Ka'mora Laster and Gianni Ausmore; a special mentor, Umar Alim and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including best friends, Bub and Curt. She was a proud graduate of the Lawrenceville Elementary School and Princeton High School. She matriculated to Rider Business College where she majored in Secretarial Science. Frances began her career at the Veterans' Administration (VA) at the Brentwood Campus in West Los Angeles. Daughter of the late Fred Calvin LeCompt and Frances Bosley LeCompt, wife of the late Carl Ballton, and sister of the late Fred and Steven LeCompt. She leaves to celebrate her well lived life, her sister, Mary LeCompt Ferguson, brother Paul LeCompt (Sharon), son Carl (Lula), grandchildren: Jabari, Issa Carl (Tanya), Micah (Nacho), great-grandchildren: Caleb, Cameron, Cason, Noah and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends. Born in Sharon, PA the son of the late Donald and Phyllis Osterhout, he had been a Weston resident for the last 16 years. Dan received a BA from the University of Baltimore and a Master Degree in Finance from Loyola University. He was the Managing Director of Community Senior Capital, a wealth-management firm. Prior to this position, Dan served in a number of Senior Executive positions at Aon Corporation. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. operations of Swiss Re New Markets. Mr. Osterhout also held a variety of senior positions with Alexander & Alexander. His career spanned thirty years in the insurance industry. He was an avid New York Yankee fan. Survivors in addition to his loving wife Cathy include three beloved sons, Jason Osterhout of Burlington, VT, Brandon Osterhout of San Francisco, CA and Jordan Osterhout of Weston, CT; three cherished grandchildren, Vivian, Quincy and Curtis; a brother and sister in-law, Thom and Carol Osterhout of Fort Myers, FL; brother and sister in-laws, Bob and Linda Dear of Ellicott City, MD, Denny and Peggy Dear of Columbia, MD, and many treasured nieces and nephews. On the morning of Wednesday, August 21, after a nearly three year battle with pancreatic cancer, Robert John Lynch Jr. (Bob) died at the age of 64 in his Westport home under the light of a full moon. Born in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Robert and Doris Lynch, Bob remained a passionate Red Sox fan all of his life. He will be missed dearly by his beautiful and loving wife of 37 years, Maureen, their son Bob, who lives in Spain with his fianc, Tory, their daughter Kelly Houff,, who lives in Virginia with her husband, Jeff, and their three year old son, Liam, to whom he was affectionately known as "Papi". He was a selfless family man who always put his loved ones before himself. Bob was the oldest of six children and is survived by his siblings, Jane Shilalie and her husband Bob, Kathy Meinelt and her husband Terry, Steve Lynch and his wife Barbara, Mary Jo Sharkey and her husband Jim, and John Lynch and his wife Mimi, all of the greater Boston area. He was "Uncle Bob" to 21 nieces and nephews, who all laughed at his jokes, despite hearing the same ones over and over. Bob worked in Finance for over 35 years, notably at Citibank, US Trust, and Barclays, finally retiring, for the third time, just four months before he was diagnosed with cancer. He was the mentor and friend to countless colleagues throughout the years and always set an example of hard work, fairness, and integrity. Bob was a human encyclopedia of sports trivia, lover of nature, and the rare combination of both a Republican and Francophile. His determination to fight off his disease inspired everyone around him and he is the unofficial World Record holder for the most pull-ups ever done by a man in his 60's after 58 chemotherapy treatments. A memorial service will be held at Assumption Church, 98 Riverside Avenue in Westport, CT on Wednesday, August 28 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive visitors at Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street, on Tuesday, August 27 from 4-8PM. The Trentonian, Russell Grover, Sr. NEW HOPE - Russell Grover, Sr., 90, of New Hope, PA, died on Tuesday, August 28, 2013, at the Green Leaf Care Center in Doylestown, PA. Born and raised in Crosswicks, New Jersey, Russell lived in New Hope his entire adult life. He worked in shipping and receiving at the Goodall Rubber Company in Trenton before retiring in 1982. He was a past member of the Eagle Volunteer Fire Company in New Hope where he served as assistant chief. A US Navy veteran of World War II, he served in both Europe and the Pacific. He was member of the Veterans of Foreign War Post 3525 in Hamilton, NJ and the American Legion Toscani Post 129 in Lambertville. Russell was dedicated to his family and his work and was proud to have served his country. He was the husband of the late Marion Denson Grover and the son of the late George and Bertha Grover. He is survived by his daughter Diane Elizabeth Grover of Baltimore, MD and his son Russell Grover, Jr. of Levittown, PA; his grandchildren Ronald Grover of Stockton, NJ, Christopher Grover, Dawn Grover and Kimberly Grover, all of Levittown, PA; his 7 great-grandchildren; his 3 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Born in Trenton, NJ, Mrs. Kiggins was a lifelong Morrisville resident. Marion worked for several years at NJ Manufacturers Insurance Co. She was an avid NASCAR fan, with Jeff Gordon being her favorite driver. Marion loved to dance, and was very active, enjoying movies, dining out, bus trips and shows. She especially enjoyed time with her grandchildren. Daughter of the late Harry and Mary Hyacinth (Brady) Wilcox, wife of the late William J. Queen Elizabeth Diggs was born on September 15, 1932 in Prince George County, Virginia to John and Nannie Diggs. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, oldest brother, George Diggs, older sister, RoseAnna Turnquist , and younger brother, Charles Diggs, and daughters Faith (Faye) and Debra Binyard. Ms. Snyder was born in Lakewood, NJ and was the daughter of the late Evgen and Zoya Dovhoniuk Chmarenko. She resided in Indiana since 1990. Maria was a title searcher for over 30 years, employed by Indiana Search Technologies, LLC Indianapolis, IN and Key Title Company, Freehold, NJ. She was a 1977 graduate of the Freehold Regional High School District and was a member of the National Honor Society during all four years of high school. She will be fondly remembered as an animal lover. Maria showed prize winning llamas and raised miniature horses, pigs, goats and chickens. Ms. Snyder was a former member of St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Yardville. She was a resident of Princeton since 1962, moving to Plainsboro in 2008. Margaret retired in 1983 with over 20 years of service as a Scientific Secretary with the Princeton University Department of Astro-Physics. She was a member of the ladies Auxiliary of Engine Company #1. Daughter of the late Joseph L. and the late Mary G. (Whalen) Murphy, she is the wife of the late Robert A. The Trentonian, Charles V. Bitler HAMILTON - Charles V. Bitler, 84, of Hamilton Square, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the Greenwood House Skilled Nursing Facility in Ewing Twp. Born in Ronovo, PA, he was a longtime Trenton/Hamilton area resident. An Army Veteran of the Korean War where he was stationed in Stuttgart Germany during the German Occupation. While stationed there he was a driver for the Secretary of State. Charles began his career at the American Bridge Company in Trenton. He retired from the Industrial engineering Works after 38 years of employment. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan following all four teams on television and their scores in the newspaper. Charles would attend the Bitler Family Reunion in August each year in Danville, PA, and was present to celebrate the 102nd last year. Son of the late David and Bertha Schenck Bitler, brother of the late Elmer Bitler, Laura Sanders, Jean Gorse, Eva Murphy, Esther Soliwoda, and Gloria Schwartz, brother-in-law of the late Edward Sanders, Thomas Gorse, John Murphy, John Soliwoda, Helen Evanovich Bitler, and Jean Coluccio Bitler. He is survived by his loving wife Lois Giovannetti Bitler; his daughter and son in-law Doris Bitler Davis and Kirk Davis; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Bitler, Dewey and Betty Bitler, Donald Bitler, and Joan and Gerald Miller, Joyce and Robert Mochrie; cousins, Joan Fleming, Robert and Ann Innocenzi, and Joan Beetel Lavis; many nieces, nephews , and great nieces and great nephews; and his canine companion, Alex. The Trentonian, Dr. Raymond M. Palmere WEST ORANGE - Dr. Raymond M. Palmere, 88, passed away peacefully with family at his bedside on Sunday, September 8, 2013, at his residence in West Orange, New Jersey. Dr. Palmere was born in Irvington and raised in Orange, NJ. He and his beloved wife, the late Isabel F. (nee Whitaker) Palmere, resided in West Orange for 58 years. During this time, they raised a family of 12 children. A U.S. Marine and Veteran of World War II, he proudly served in Pacific theatre from 1943 to 1946. He earned a BA from Rutgers College, and an MS and PhD in Organic Chemistry from Seton Hall University. He began his career at E.R. Squibb and retired from FMC Corporation after 35 years as a Senior Research Chemist where he was awarded several patents. He proudly served as Scout Master for Troop 80, Livingston, NJ, for 29 years and then as District Commissioner for many years. He was a recipient of the Silver Beaver Award and St. Georges Award from Essex Council, BSA for his distinguished service to youth and his exceptional leadership in the Scouting Movement. He was the cherished father of his twelve children, Elizabeth Madara and husband Robert, Catherine Stefanelli and husband Joseph, Stephen and wife Maureen, Mark and wife Betty, Jeannie Couper and husband Matthew, Joyce Wozniak and late husband Peter, Matthew and wife Lisa, Alice Wardles and husband Brian, Daniel and wife Michele, Flora Regan and husband George, Nancy Held and husband Andrew, and David and wife Kristina. Dr. Palmere was the adored grandfather to 32 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 11, from 4pm to 8pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 145 East Mt. The Trentonian, Kathryn H. Stark HAMILTON, NJ-Kathryn H. Stark passed away suddenly on Wednesday, 09/04 at RWJ Hospital in Hamilton, NJ with her daughter at her side. She was 66 years old. Born in Philadelphia, she has resided in Hamilton, NJ for the past 29 years. Kathryn recently retired from 30 years as an executive assistant for Bob Burke of Maguire Burke Realtors. She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth "Scoot" Geortler. Kathryn is survived by her mother, Marjorie Geortler: (4) children; Kate Zingaro & Jeff Munch of Hamilton, James Webb & Heather Trout, Kenneth Webb & Victoria Webb all of Riverside, NJ. Beloved "Mom Mom" to Hunter Webb who put a sparkle in her eye every time she saw him. Sister: Michael "Miki" & her husband George "Barney" Schultz. Aunts: Joan & Charles Geiter, Barbara & Robert Winters. Nieces: Stephanie & John Aubry, Elizabeth & Guido Forcellini. Nephews: George "Barney" & Diane Schultz, Michael & Abby Schultz. Grandmom to Nate, Kendra & Miranda Webb, Eriq Bocox & Joseph Costa along with 11 nieces and nephews. The Trentonian, Adolph J. Nutret CLEARWATER, Fla. - Adolph J. Nutret, 83, of Clearwater, and formerly of Bordentown Township, N.J., died peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2013, at the Sunset Point Convalescent Center, Clearwater. Born and raised in Trenton, N.J. Mr. Nutret lived most of his life in Bordentown Township, N.J., moving to Clearwater in 1989. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War era. He retired in 1989 after 10 years with U.S. Steel, Fairless Hills, Pa. Previously Adolph was owner of Joe Nutret Tile Contractors in Bordentown Township, N.J. He was a member of the United Steel Workers and a member of the Polish-American Club of Central Jersey. He enjoyed both fresh and saltwater fishing as well as boating and hunting. Son of the late Adolph and Mary Kowinski Nutret, husband of the late Alice E. Sinka Nutret, he was also predeceased by his five siblings. He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joseph S. and Barbara Nutret of Lambertville, N.J. and Raymond Nutret of Clearwater; his daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Robert Mayoros of Morrisville, Pa.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, September 12, at the Greenwood Mausoleum Chapel, Hamilton, N.J., with Deacon Guido Mattozzi officiating. Entombment will follow services. The Trentonian, Frank J. DiPierro TRENTON - Frank J. DiPierro, 82, of Trenton passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at his residence with his loving family by his side. Born in Trenton on June 4, 1931 Frank has been a life long Trenton area resident. Frank served in the US Army then retired from the Trenton Board of Education after 33 dedicated years. Frank enjoyed fresh water fishing, cooking, and gardening. He was the son of the late Giacomo and Maria Valente DiPierro and brother of the late Mary Marconi, Betty Hollingsworth, and Nicholas, Marino, Anthony, and Gino DiPierro. Left to cherish his wonderful memory is his loving wife of 55 years, Ann DiPierro (Hontz); his three sons and daughters-in-law: Frank Jr and Kathleen; Thomas and Kimberly; William and Constance; his brother Vincent DiPierro of Ewing, NJ; his brother-in-law Harry Hontz of Florida; his seven grandchildren Dawn, James, Sarah, Anthony, Christine, Robert, and Jaclyn DiPierro; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 13, 2013; 10:00am at The Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home, 990 South Broad Street (Rte 206), Trenton NJ 08611 (parking facility and handicap access located directly behind the funeral home). Visiting hour will be held from 9-10am at the funeral home on Friday. Entombment with military honors will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery Madonna Mausoleum, 400 Woolsey Street-Cedar Lane, Hamilton Township, 08610.
