In his spare time he was an avid New York sports fan. Robert was an avid Phillies fan; he loved flying planes and watching air stunts. He was an enthusiastic guitar player with a love of country music. Robert loved to be a joker and was always full of fun. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Rachel and Alfred T. Yates; his wife Ruby Yates; his son Bobby Pete Yates; his step son Ricky McClister and his best friend Bob Johnson. The Trentonian, Raymond "Bud" Schanck, Sr. WALL - Raymond "Bud" Schanck, Sr., 92 of Wall passed away Saturday, June 14 at home. A lifelong resident of Wall Township, Bud was the son of Mabel and Arthur Schanck. Bud was a graduate of Manasquan High School and a member of Wall United Methodist Church. He spent many years working on the Schanck family farm. After learning the craft of carpentry from his uncle Bill, he began B&G Builders in the late 1960's, built many homes in the area and retired after 35 years in the business. Bud was intelligent, humorous and kind. He was an avid reader of history and loved his gardens, his crossword puzzles and his cats that accepted the pleasure of his company throughout his lifetime. Bud was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be forever in our hearts. Bud was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Mabel Schanck and a brother Arthur. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Edith (nee Naser) of Wall; his three sons; William and wife Gail Haulenbeek of Delmar, NY, Raymond and wife Jackie of Wall Township and John and wife Candy Tice of Wall Township. Born in Trenton, NJ, on April 10, 1943 he resided in Lawrenceville since 1952. Joe graduated from Saint Hedwig Grammar School and attended Notre Dame and Trenton High Schools. He was previously employed by Budny Tire in Lawrence for twenty-five years, and Champion Tire in Ringoes until he retired in 2009. Joe was a member of the Beaver Dam Hunting Club and the Rainbow Rod and Gun Club both of North Trenton. In addition to hunting and fishing Joe enjoyed dancing and especially the monthly polka dances at Holy Cross Catholic War Veterans Post 417. He is survived by his daughter Susan, sons Bruce, Karl and Thomas, daughters-in-law Cynthia, Eileen and Louise, grandchildren Molly, Jennifer, Brian, Matthew, David, Glenn and Robby and special friend Lea Dickler. David graduated Norristown High School in 1947 and married his high school sweetheart Norma Jane Silk in December 1951. Dennis was born September 13th 1948 in Atlantic City to Harry and Ann Giquinto Ford. He attended St. Nicholas Grammar School and Atlantic City High School. Following his graduation in 1966, Dennis joined the US Army and served for 4 years. When he returned home from military service he worked several different jobs. He ultimately applied and was hired by the Atlantic City Police Department as a mechanic at the police garage and tow lot where he worked until retiring in 2008. Denny was an avid SCUBA Diver and traveled to different countries to dive with the sharks. Denny is predeceased in death by his parents. He is survived by his son Matthew Ford (Amy); daughter Danielle Ford; his sister Roxanne (Gregg); 5 grand children - Autumn, Evelyn, Cody, Brady and Delaney; nephew Brian Haberkern; 2 great nieces; his godmother Delores Terracciano; his friend and caretaker Christina Brown and many cousins. The Trentonian, Charles Drew Holman TOCCOA, Ga. - Charles Drew Holman passed away at age 74 in Toccoa, GA on Monday, May 19th 2014. He was at Heritage Rehabilitation Center trying to recover from a broken hip. He went to sleep the night of the 19th and never woke. He was found deceased at 5:15 a.m. on the morning of the 20th by a nurse at the facility. Born on April 2nd 1940 in Dutch Neck, NJ he was the son of Charles & Doris Holman. He worked on his parent's farm growing potatoes and ran it for the beginning part of his life but most know him as having his own excavating company and residing in Windsor, NJ for the majority of his life. He has been residing in Georgia for the last 11 yrs. He was one of a kind with a hell raising attitude and a sense of humor that could not be rivaled by many. He is survived by a lot of friends who admired him and enjoyed the time they had with him as well as the 2 people who took care of him and up until his last day Daniel Archer and Donna Bond. There will be a get together in memory of Drew to celebrate his life at the American Legion Post 148 in Hightstown on Saturday June 21, 2014 from 5 p.m. on where anyone who knew him is welcome to come and have a toast in his memory and share stories of his life among others who have been lucky enough to have shared time with Drew. Born in Trenton, NJ, Sharon attended the Trenton public School system and graduated from Trenton High School in1984. She then joined the Job Corp completing in 1986. Sharon was employed briefly with the New Jersey Department of Taxation but was disabled at an early age. Sharon had twinkly eyes with an infectious smile. She loved music, dancing, playing Spades, computer games and people. Sharon never met a stranger. Everybody was someone special in her eyes. Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Joan S. Watkins and her step-father, Thomas B. Watkins. She leaves to cherish sweet memories her father, Lee R. Byrd and a brother, Andre Byrd; four aunts, Lula M. Vereen, H. Born in Morrisville, PA, Steven was a life long Trenton - Hamilton resident. He was a tool and die mechanic for Robertson Manufacturing Company in Morrisville, PA, Kalex Company in Yardville, and Congoleum in Hamilton where he retired after many years. Steven was a veteran of the United States Marines, serving in the Korean Conflict. What he enjoyed most in life was attending his grandsons' sporting events at the Hamilton YMCA Pecci Field where he was loved by everyone. Son of the late George and Susan Jadlocki Majoros, and pre-deceased by nine siblings, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alvina H. (nee Marion) Majors of Hamilton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Christine Majors of Hamilton; Steven W. Majors and Eileen Chotiner of Alexandria, VA; his two beloved grandsons, Ty and Aaron Majors of Hamilton; brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Dolores Majoros; sister, Jean Naspinsky; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home 1863 Hamilton Ave. in Hamilton. Visit www.murphyfh.com for additional information. Born in Trenton on March 26, 1967, "Mickey" as he was affectionately referred to by his family and friends had been a lifelong Trenton area resident and worked for Carpet Impressions of Hamilton. Mickey was a very generous father, son, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family especially his grandsons Landon and Jayden. He is predeceased by his grandparents; James Ray and Ernestine Petretta-Landcaskey, and brother in law Frank Rossetti, III. Left to cherish his fun memory are his loving parents; Carol and Francis Ray-Buttich, his beautiful daughter Carissa Collins, and handsome son Michael Billings, Jr., caring siblings; Melissa and husband Salvatore Guido, James Billings, Jr, and Veronica Kirkham, two adorable grandsons; Landon Struck and Jayden Owens, special nephew; Vincent Rossetti, loving inlaws Alice Rossetti and Paul Beatty, and his long time companion Anne Rossetti. Born in Trenton,Mrs. Sherman was a former resident of Ewing Township and lived in Levittown the past fifty-one years. She was a 1959 graduate of Ewing High School and enjoyed swimming and traveling with her family. Daughter of the late Sidney and Clara Schwartz she is survived by her husband Ronald I. Sherman,four daughters and three sons-in-law Bonnie (Ed) Weiand,Mindy (Greg) Floyd, Barbara Sherman and Deborah (Joe) Rutz,a sister Janet Bergner,four grandchildren Jackie,Peyton,Chad and Jarek. Funeral services are Sunday 11AM at Orland's Ewing Memorial Chapel,1534 Pennington Road,Ewing. Burial will follow at Ewing Cemetery. The Trentonian, LAWRENCEVILLE - Anna Paranich Tomko, 96, of Lawrenceville, passed away peacefully at the Mercerville Center Nursing Home on Thursday, June 19, 2014. Born in Jessup, PA., she was a resident of Lawrenceville for the passed 20 years. Anna graduated from beauty school and became the owner and operator of T-Anna's Beauty Studio in Hamilton for many years prior to her retirement. She was a long time member of Lawrence Senior Citizens Club #2 and was a parishioner of the Church of St. Ann and St. Michael's Church. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, quilting and having lunch and playing bingo at the senior center. Daughter of the late John and Anna Paranich, wife of the late John T. Tomko and sister of the late, John Duchak, Andrew Paranich, Michael Paranich, George Paranich, Julie Ley, Catherine Hudak and Mary Gaydosh she is survived by her beloved son, Thomas Tomko and his wife Patricia of Lawrenceville; her cherished grandson, Eric Tomko of Pennsylvania; her sister, Mildred Krizauskas of Nicholson, PA; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services for Anna will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, 650 Lawrence Rd. Lawrenceville. South Jersey Local News, BISIGNANO, Jeanne G, 90 of Clearwater, FL went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her loving daughters. Jeanne, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother, was born on February 14, 1924 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania to the late Nazzareno & Josephine (Paoloni) Pesaresi. She grew up in Pine Grove, New Jersey where she met and married her late husband, Elmer A. Bisignano. They were members of Medford Assembly of God Church where Jeanne was very active in church and community work. Jeanne briefly lived in Tulsa, Oklahoma before moving to Clearwater in 1981. She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters Barbara (Ron) DeHamer of Glenmoore, PA, Carol (Gary) Warnock of Tulsa, OK and Patricia D'Andrea of Clearwater, FL along with eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, a brother Victor (Julie) Pesaresi of Winder, GA and two sisters Mary Vogt of Lawrenceville, GA and Gloria Lombardo of Jefferson, GA.
